Distribution Project

Tienda Futura

What will the shops of 2012 be like?

Learning about what the shop of the future will be like or new trends in retail display are just some of the examples of what this new proposal from Alimentaria 2008 will offer us. In addition to seeing how distribution will evolve, visitors will be able to discover the latest trends in the sector.

Manifesting its decided commitment to innovation, as part of Innoval, Alimentaria presents Future Shop. For five days, this space will offer a spectacular staging of the latest proposals in distribution trends. In addition, it will present a complete outlet with the sustainable, accessible and efficient services which could transform the future of retail.

This project will entail the staging of the findings the Requirements of Future Shoppers study which Alimentaria commissioned from the consultancy TNS (Taylor Nelson Sofres). This study will be presented at the 7th International Food Forum.

Innoval’s Future Shop will be built around three core ideas. The first is the shopping experience, in which lighting, design and atmosphere help create satisfactory shopping. The second is that the point-of-sale must offer real solutions such as accessibility for the elderly or those with disabilities. Lastly, there is the importance of the environment and sustainability in the shop of the future.

Not only will the content of Future Shop be innovative, but well-known designers Pati Nuñez and Toni Arola, both winners of the National Design Award, have been commissioned to decorate the space. They will create a spectacular mise en scène for Future Shop.

The Innoval project’s Future Shop is an exceptional showcase for the latest proposals in distribution trends to be implemented within the next five years. At Future Shop we will find sustainable and accessible points of sale with items such as smart scales and trolleys, sensory marketing, 3D advertising projectors, wine dispensers, interactive rugs, disposable tableware and the latest in different security systems.
