The Best Pack Awards recognise creative accomplishments in the marketing of food and beverages. The awards are conferred by the IP Group (publishers of magazines such as IPMark, Distribución and Actualidad or Restauración News) and by Alimentaria Exhibitions.

These awards – celebrating their eleventh edition during the 2008 event – honour creativity in the food and beverage sector, recognising the best advertising campaigns and promotions carried out in the Spanish food sector.
The Best Pack awards have traditionally honoured four areas of advertising communications: Pack, Spot, Promo and Graphics. In the last edition, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the awards, the scope of the awards was widened to include two new categories: Media and Interactive. Gold, silver and bronze awards are presented to the three best original works in each of the six categories, and at the discretion of the panel of judges a Grand Prize may also be awarded to an outstanding work deemed worthy due to its special characteristics.

All competing pieces were exhibited at the special Best Pack area in Restaurama sector. The jury that decided the Best Pack Awards was composed of well-known professionals from the fields of communication, marketing and design. Awards were celebrated on 13th March at 8pm in Alimara Hotel, Berruguete street 126, Barcelona.
