What do I have to do to exhibit at Alimentaria?
To take part in the tradeshow you must fill in the Registration Form and fax it through to +34 93 5679688. Once you have sent in your application, a member of our commercial team will contact you to concretise the details of your participation.
How much might it cost me to take part in Alimentaria?
Every company has its own particular needs and requires a customised answer. Contact us and together we will draw up a bespoke quotation: drodriguez@alimentaria.com.
How long have I got to decide whether to participate?
To make sure that Alimentaria runs smoothly, the registration period for exhibitors ends a few months before the show is held.
Where can I get information on and/or hire different services such as utility installations, stand construction, etc.?
You can find all this information:
1.- in the Services Folder which the organisers will send you together with your participation contract.
2.- via the internet, in the How to Exhibit section of this website.
3.- by calling the Servifira telephone helpline on 902 233 200.
What are the tradeshow's opening hours for exhibitors?
Exhibitors can go into the fairground one hour before visitors are allowed in and leave it up to one hour after it closes to visitors. This means that opening hours for exhibitors are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 4.p.m on the Friday.
As an exhibitor, how many exhibitor passes am I entitled to?
The organisers will provide each direct exhibitor with four free Exhibitor Passes.
They will also provide one extra pass for every 5 square metres up to 100 square metres.
Beyond this, one extra pass will be provided for every additional 10 square metres.
Are there any rules governing an exhibitor's participation?
Alimentaria has various sets of regulations governing every aspect of the exhibition, from stand construction to deadlines and power supplies. Find out more from the Participation Regulations in the Services Folder.
How can I make sure of a parking place in the fairground while the exhibition is on?
Exhibitors at Alimentaria 2006 can hire parking places in the Montjuïc and Gran Via fairgrounds by filling in a Parking Application Form which you can find in the Services Folder.
Access to these places is limited to the five days the exhibition is on.
As an exhibitor, what do I have to do to appear in the official catalogue of companies?
A new system of entering and sending details for the catalogue will be introduced for Alimentaria 2006. Hitherto, exhibitors filled in a form with all their details and all the details of their products and sent it in by conventional post.
This time, details will be provided and sent online. As an exhibitor, you will shortly receive a password allowing you to access a restricted area of this website. In this area you will find all details the organisers of Alimentaria 2006 hold about your company and you will have the chance to update them so that they appear correctly in the catalogue.

How were the Alimentaria shows distributed?
Alimentaria was the first trade show that opted for a model based on arranging exhibitors into dedicated sector-specific shows so as to facilitate and optimise visits by professionals and foster exchanges between exhibitors from the same sector. See where the sectors you are interested in are located.
How were passes obtained?
In an early phase, professionals in the food and beverage sector had at their disposition an exclusive on-line registration service. Professionals of other sectors or persons who did not request accreditation during the registration period obtained permanent passes at the doors of the salon.
Where can I find the list of exhibitor companies?
The Official Catalogue contains the full list of exhibitors at Alimentaria 2008. The catalogue can be purchased at the show.
In addition to the product exhibition, are there any parallel activities of interest to trade professionals?
Alimentaria is characterised by hosting a large number of activities to do with the food industry: talks, competitions, tastings, demonstrations, samplings, etc. See all the information in the activities section.
Do the Alimentaria organisers offer any reductions for group visits by professionals belonging to trade associations?
Alimentaria provides special facilities for groups whose business is closely linked to food and drinks to visit the exhibition. Trade associations and further and higher education students on food industry-related courses can visit the tradeshow by contacting in advance the Visitor Service: Tel. +34 93 4521102 / visit@alimentaria.com.
Are there any facilities for visitors coming by private vehicle?
Alimentaria will offer free parking at the Sot del Migdia Car Park (Gran Vía). Pay parking will be available at both venues.

Can my children come with me to visit Alimentaria?
Alimentaria is a fair aimed at professionals, so in order to create a business climate; children under the age of sixteen are not admitted.

I would like to obtain accreditation as a member of the press so that I can attend Alimentaria. What should I do?
To attend the show as a member of the press, you must fill in an accreditation application, which you can find in the On-line Accreditation section. You can obtain accreditation for the press area at Alimentaria if you fulfil any of the following three conditions:
- You are a journalist and you can prove that you are working for a general, economic or technical media organisation -having to do with food-.
- You are working for a communication agency.
- You are a salesperson for one of the media.
What must I do to attend the opening of Alimentaria?
To attend the opening of Alimentaria, you must follow the normal accreditation procedure for attending the show. During this procedure, you will be asked whether you are interested in attending the opening of Alimentaria. If you say you are, we will get in touch with you to tell you whether there are any special conditions for attending the event and what they are.
Where can I collect my accreditation?
Accreditation for journalists, salespersons and communication agency professionals is not sent out in advance. You can pick it up from the Press Room at the Gran Via fairground while the show is on.
Does the press room have any equipment I can work with?
The press rooms provided in Montjuïc and Gran Via have computers equipped with the most commonly used software and Internet access.
When is the Press Room open?
The Press Room has the same opening hours as the show, except that it opens an hour earlier.
