An area of 3,000 square metres (750 square metres more than in 2004) of exclusive space in the Gran Vía area for the exhibition of this jewel of the Mediterranean alongside Intervín, Restaurama, Congelexpo, Expobebidas and the Pavilion Autonómico (Regional Pavilion).
In this sense, its location in this area is logical, in that olive oil is perceived to be the star product of Spain’s gastronomy and native to many of its Autonomous Communities, as well as a healthy food directly linked to the Mediterranean diet that is making an ever greater impact on eating outside and inside of the home.
Thanks to the extremely satisfactory experience of 2004 on the part of its exhibitors, Olivaria will once again provide new educational offerings along the lines followed by Alimentaria to generate added value to the commercial activities.
The goal for this space reflects Spain’s leading position in the world, both as a producer country - with 42% of world production and 25% of the area of olive cultivation -, and in terms of export figures where it represents 41% of the world trade. Spain leads international oil production and is the third largest consumer, after Greece and Italy.
