
Intercarn has risen to the challenge of internationalisation. With over 1,000m2 devoted to exhibiting foreign products, this show has become the most international of all of Alimentaria's sector-specific shows. The number of exhibiting countries from outside of Spain has steadily increased with each edition of Intercarn. Countries such as Italy, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Brazil, Germany, Portugal, Denmark and Ireland are just some of those which will be attending Intercarn 2008.
Intercarn 2008 will have 1,500m2 more exhibition space than the 2006 edition. In addition to the increased space and greater number of exhibiting companies (reaching a total of 450), a new, dynamic and highly appetizing events area will make its debut.
Besides the impressive presence of foreign companies, the participation of Spain's most prestigious enterprises is also worth noting: Campofrío, El Pozo, Noel Alimentaria, Embutidos Turón, Jamones Segovia, Espuña…. 95% of Spain's large meat producers and 80% of all Spanish companies in the sector will be in attendance at the next edition of Intercarn.
Under the name of The Spain of Cured Iberian Meat Products, this important part of the exhibition will allow visitors to learn about and taste all of the exquisite delicacies produced from the Iberian pig, the autochthonous Spanish breed raised in oak-dotted pastures on a diet of grasses and acorns. From chorizo and salchichón to morcón, sobrasada, lomo, jamón or paletilla, all of the finest products will be on display to pay tribute to this icon of Spanish gastronomy.
