Congelexpo welcomes hundreds of next-generation foods

The enormous variety of frozen food products currently on offer is a reality that can be seen in the aisles of any supermarket. Congelexpo, Alimentaria's frozen food show, utilizes nearly 1,900m2 of exhibition space to showcase this industry's constant efforts to renew and adapt itself to today's consumers.

Food Empire (Singapore), Salomon Foodworld (Germany) and Doctor Oetker Iberia are just a few of the large international enterprises from the frozen food industry that will be attending Congelexpo to show off their latest cutting-edge frozen food products to the show's more than 155,000 visitors.  Oriental snack foods, Mediterranean foods, dishes with fish as a main ingredient and Italian pasta will all share the spotlight in the show's 1,900m2 of exhibition space. The frozen food sector is one which has proven its ability to adapt to new consumer preferences, driving forward the development of ready-to-eat meals and international dishes.

Together with the sector's most prominent corporations, other companies from Belgium, Holland, France and Israel will share Congelexpo's exhibition space with Spain's top producers. Savoury empanada pies from Galicia, vegetables from Navarre and regional products from La Rioja will stand as proof of the high quality that characterises Spain's frozen food products. Likewise, as a reflection of current trends in the industry, companies specialised in "classic" products such as frozen dough, frozen pizzas and ice cream will also be among the stars of the show.

Alimentaria and Frozen Food Month
Alimentaria has made a firm commitment to publicising frozen food products by actively supporting the Frozen Food Month campaign. This initiative - the first of its kind in Spain - aims to inform consumers about the advantages and qualities of packaged frozen foods, as well as to eradicate false myths and mistaken ideas about such foods.
