Alimentaria, committed to innovation and internationalization, will make it possible to celebrate the second edition of the Brokerage Event.
The Brokerage Event involves the organization of bilateral meetings between companies for technological and/or commercial exchanges. It will take place on 27th and 28th March, during the celebration of Alimentaria 2012.
In 2010, over 190 companies from 13 countries took part in the Brokerage Event and more than 420 meetings took place.
Who can participate
The Brokerage Event is open to companies from the European Union and other countries* with the following characteristics:
- Companies exporting food products and/or drinks
- Technological Centres and companies with R+D departments, related with the food and drinks sector.
*Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, China, Croatia, Egypt, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Russia, Serbia, South Korea, Switzerland, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.
How to participate
- Companies interested in taking part should register online and complete their commercial and/or technology profiles in the online catalogue.
- Once registered, participants will be able to request individual meetings with potential partners from the online catalogue.
- Meeting requests must be confirmed by both sides in order to be scheduled.
- Shortly before the day of the event each participant will receive a personalised meeting schedule.
- During the event, 30 minutes meetings will take place face-to-face, at the Alimentaria Hub, Pavilion 7, Fira de Barcelona Gran Via Venue.

Brokerage service is free of charge.
