The Alimentaria HubThe Alimentaria Hub will be taking centre stage at Alimentaria: a vast forum focusing on brands, trends and internationalisation in the sector.

A key space for operators in the food and agriculture chain seeking business opportunities.

The activities are organised in six strategic lines:


1. Innovation + R&D&I+Brands

  • Innoval: the great showcase for innovation where brands will present their latest launches.

  • The Food Factory: a business innovation space for technological start-ups in the sector to contact possible investors.

    In 2016, the programme will be reinforced as a result of the partnership with Reimagine Food, an international observatory of new businesses in the food and agriculture sector that aims to identify disruptive ideas for the food and drinks market and place them in contact with key investors in the industry.

    More than 9,000 references (projects, dissertations, patents, research groups) classified by sector, thematic areas, geographical area and institution in order to transform knowledge into economic and social value.

2. Internationalisation and globalisation

  • Business meetings between exhibitors and international buyers, organised by Alimentaria, FIAB, ICEX, MAGRAMA and ACC1Ó. Over 8,000 meetings are anticipated.
     
  • Personalised advice from experts on international markets.

3. Nutrition, health and well being

XI Mediterranean Diet Conference. The event that brings together Spanish and international experts on nutrition, medicine and nutrition policy.


4. Distribution and Retail

The latest studies on new consumer habits and retail trends were presented.


5. Marketing and communication

Awarding of the Best Awards for the most innovative creations in marketing and communication. The Hub also provides a space for bloggers and a press pool with over 120 publications on the sector.


6. Corporate Social Responsibility

The 3rd NESTLE Forum "Creation of Shared Value": "Challenges for the food industry in economic, social and environmental sustainability".
